We are very excited and humbled to announce that "Love is Love (Love is Everything)" from our 2nd CD was chosen to be choreographed for a ballet performance by Ms. Dodie Pettit and included in this important fundraiser.
"In an evening to honor and remember the students of Sandy Hook Elementary School and their families, a group of extraordinary Broadway stars will lift up their voices to raise funds and awareness for those who have been silenced by gun violence.
The concert will feature a star-infused evening of music and dance with Tony Award winners and Alumni from the original casts of Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Chicago, CATS, City of Angels and more. Hosted by Tony Award winner James Naughton, folk rock legend Rex Fowler of Aztec 2 Step and Broadway star Dodie Pettit, the event includes a slate of Broadway headliners as well as dancers from Connecticut Dance School. Also appearing will be Mark Barden and Nicole Hockley, Co-Founders of SHP and Connecticut VIPs. Barden will introduce the trailer for “A Father’s Promise,” the brand new Sandy Hook Promise film.
The concert is produced by Westport Resident, Dodie Pettit, well-known for her long career on Broadway including Original Cast Member of Phantom of the Opera, as well as Tony Winning CATS and Titanic among others. Co-Producing the concert is Ben Frimmer, who is a locally known producer, director, and theater arts educator who serves on the Board of The Westport Country Playhouse. Also co-producing, Lorie Lewis, Founder of Wings4Peace, a national movement that infuses peace into America’s gun violence epidemic through visual and performing arts initiatives.
Proceeds will go to Sandy Hook Promise (SHP), a recognized top-rated nonprofit organization with a mission to protect America’s children against gun violence in honor of the precious lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School. We are celebrating the Promise of the Future: Peace is possible if we all do our part."
